The Kliktronic Gear Changer was designed and developed, specifically at the request of the NABD, way back in the mid 1990’s by Bob Sirett and Keith Holland.  Since then, it has become the single most-popular motorcycle adaptation kit ever produced.

Key Features:

  • Supplied as a complete kit with fairly ‘idiot proof’ fitting instructions
  • Suitable for use on all manual transmission motorcycles
  • Requires no permanent structural changes to the bike
  • Can often retain the original gear change pedal
  • Powerful dual-action electric solenoid actuator
  • Precision-made aluminium solenoid mount incorporates a double bearing for smooth, trouble-free, operation
  • Military spec triple O-ring waterproof operating buttons
  • On-bar and under-bar switch carrier options
  • Actuating rod extends and retracts up to 25mm either side of its neutral position
  • Compact relay control box fits neatly under most bike seats
  • Switch carriers fit 7/8” or 1” handlebars
  • Universal wiring harness
  • Robust design
  • Instantaneous action (typically 35-50 milliseconds on Japanese gearboxes)
  • Reassuringly positive gear changes
  • Easily transferable from one bike to the next
  • Ignition interrupt module available to facilitate clutch-free changes (Optional).

It is rumoured that each Kliktronic Gear Changer kit is individually blessed by the god of Precision Engineering, ‘Vernia Sixteenthou’, as they leave Keith’s workshop.  Perhaps that is why they seem to go on for ever and never miss a beat?

  1. Other electronic gear changers are available.

Empowering Disabled Riders:
Kliktronic Gear Change kits have made motorcycling accessible, comfortable, and enjoyable for countless numbers of disabled people who cannot operate a standard manual gear change pedal safely, comfortably or efficiently.

  1. A motorcycle or trike that is fitted with a Kliktronic gear changer is accepted by the DVLA as being compliant with an ‘automatic only’ licence restriction.

When it comes to motorcycling, a disability need not be a handicap!
